  • If you can't follow these aftercare musts, your tooth gem will NOT last!

  • How long do extensions last?
On average, every day each eye sheds 1-7 lashes naturally. Due to the natural replenishing cycle of your own lashes, 2-3 weekly infills are required to keep your Eyelash Extensions looking beautiful and full.
  • What's an infill?
I start by remove the outgrown lashes to replace them with new lashes to create a fresh new set. It is recommended that you return for an infill every 2-3 weeks based on your retention. You must have 40% lashes remaining to qualify for infill price. If you arrive with less than 40% you will be charged full price and rescheduled if needed.
  • How long does an appointment take?
Each full set- 2hours 15mins Each set is given quality time to ensure the best results.
  • Can I still wear makeup?
Yes! However, you are responsible for keeping your lashes CLEAN. Highly recommend purchasing a Bell Beauty NZ aftercare kit for your essential lash care.
  • Can I still go swimming?
Yes! you can swim with your lash extensions! However, It is recommended that you thoroughly clean your lashes immediately after. Chlorine and salt water will negatively affect your lashes and cause fall out. Please remember - Avoid steam and water for 12 hours to allow the adhesive to cure. After this time frame it is perfectly okay to wet your lashes. In fact you must clean your eyelashes daily! You can purchase your very own aftercare kit
  • Do you fill other lash work?
I sure do! If the work is tidy I can start filling after a complimentary cleanse. If the set is 'sticky' meaning there's more than 1 natural lash such to an extension multiple times then there is a $20 add on fee. This fee is to cover extra to pull apart the 'sticky' mess or remove for a full set. This is all discussed during the consultation at the beginning of your appointment.
  • Why aren't my lashes lasting long?
There could be many underlying problems. Please consult your lash technician directly if you have this problem. To generalise the problem, this could include: -Not following the aftercare instructions -Using products that contain oils, on or around the eye area (moisturise, sunscreen, liquid eyeliner, etc) -Swimming, sunbathing, spray tans, steam or sauna within the first 12hours of getting lashes -You naturally have oily skin -Using a hair dryer near the eye area -You are too rough -Taking antibiotics or medical treatment, while their eyelashes have been extended -Sleeping on your face -Not cleaning your lash extensions Please follow proper aftercare instructions at all times!
  • Can I remove my extensions at home?
No! You must have your lashes removed by a professional to avoid damage to your eyelashes. Please refrain from pulling, tugging and rubbing at your lashes. Seek professional attention if you wish to remove lashes.
  • How do I wash my lashes?
I recommend purchasing a Bell Beauty NZ aftercare kit. Use an eyelash extensions safe foaming cleanser and brush. Gently brush the foaming cleanser through your eyelash extensions, rinse with water and gently dry. You can also purchase a rechargeable fan to easily dry volume extensions.
  • Does it hurt?
No, the process of a tooth gem is painless and non-invasive.
  • Is it reversible?
Yes - your local dentist can remove the gem safely for you. We do not recommend trying to remove the gem yourself as you can damage your teeth and take no responsibility for any damages caused by the client.
  • How long does the application take?
10-15 minutes for a single gem. Multiple gems, disco ball & chandelier designs up to 30 minutes.
  • What crystals do you use?
Swarovksi, Preciosa Lead-Free Crystals and 18ct solid Gold Charms. Solid Gold charms of a higher carat value will not tarnish or discolour inthe mouth compared to lower carat gold or plated gold pieces.
  • How are they put on teeth?
Gems are safely applied with a high-quality dental bond. The bond isnon-allergenic and there is no risk for infection.
  • Are they permanent?
    No, tooth gems are semi-permanent.
  • How long do they last?
A tooth gem should last anywhere from 3 months to 2 years. Toothgem longevity is subjective to each client and this time frame isn't aguarantee and does not rule out a shorter time frame.
  • Can I whiten my with a gem/charm?
Yes, you can whiten your teeth with a tooth gem. When the tooth gemfalls off it is unlikely that there will be any signs of discolourationwhere the tooth gem used to be. *It is recommended to apply the tooth gem after the teeth whitening session. **For the best retention, apply the tooth gem 1 -2 weeks after a teeth whitening session.
  • Can I put a gem on my veneers?
No. Gems can only be applied to natural teeth. The dental adhesives are only formulated to work with the natural composition of a tooth. Composite and Porcelain Veneers do not have the same chemical makeup and composition as your natural tooth. Both veneer optionsalso have a polished surface. This polished surface and the different chemical structures will not allow proper and effective priming and dental composite adherence.
  • Do tooth gems need special care?
Tooth Gems are very low maintenance however, for the best longevity and optimum oral health there are a few things to know. - Avoid excessive and hard brushing. - This will not only benefit your gem it will also benefit the health and - structure of your tooth enamel. - Be mindful when eating hard foods. - Limit your acidic drink intake (soft drinks, energy drinks, fruit juices, alcohol). - Mouth acidity can over time start to break down the dentalcomposite that is used to adhere the gem. - Maintain good oral hygiene and visit the dentist every 6 months.
  • Can I have tooth gems with retainers?
Client's who have full mouth plastic retainers will not be suited for tooth gems. Plastic retainers are made to sit tight to the teeth, anything on the tooth will stop the retainer from going over the teeth and/or the retainer can cause the tooth gem to come off. Clients with a metal wire retainer that goes over the fronts of the teeth can have tooth gems. Just ensure that the client brings their retainer to their appointment so you can place the gem in a spot that won't affect the retainer.
  • Brow long does brow tint last?
Brow tint should last up to one week on the skin and up to three weeks on the hair. Tint holds well on people with more dry skin as opposed to oily. This is because oil can break it down and the tint will fade.
  • Can the tint stain my skin?
Yes in most cases brow tint can stain the skin for up to one week. This will vary person to person.
  • I had tint done and I DONT like it!
It will fade!!! If your brows look too dark, don’t worry – it will fade. It’s important the colour is a little darker to begin with so the tint lasts. The initial darkness will only last a few days and will get a little closer to the right colour every time you cleanse your face.
  • What is brow lamination?
Brow lamination is designed to straighten the brow hair resulting in an instantly full, lifted and fluffy brow. Many people are mistaking LAMINATION for microblading, it enhances each natural, individual hair stroke that much! The process essentially involves straightening eyebrow hairs so that all hairs stand in the desired direction. This treatment has INSANE results teamed with Tint.
  • What is the aftercare for brow lamination?
-Keep brows dry for 24 hours. -Use Growth Brow Oil daily. -Do not apply make-up or undertake further eye treatments for at least 24 hours after your treatment. -Avoid swimming/sauna/working out for 24-48 hours. Any excess moisture after this time can cause a slight curl/frizz to the brow hair. -Do not allow prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or heat. -Do not apply Retin-A, AHA, or exfoliate around the brow area for 72 hours either side of the treatment. -No self tanning products should be used on the face for one week prior, and 48 hours after the treatment. NOTE: If any stinging or swelling occurs, apply a cold compress to soothe and seek medical advice. Be sure to let the technician know of any adverse reactions.
  • What is the brow tint aftercare?
Avoid getting them wet! Avoid getting your lashes or brows wet for 12 hours after having them tinted. Cleanse around the areas with a gentle product instead. Giving the dye longer to settle is a tried and tested way to make your tint last longer. Avoid oil based cleanser! Check your cleanser/eye makeup remover isn’t oil-based. Oil strips the tint from your lashes/brows, which means you’ll have to return to the salon sooner than you’d like. Swap for gel or cream based cleansers: they’re nice and gentle and will save you time and money in the long run.
  • What wax do you use?
I use hard wax for all facial waxing treatments! Not only is it better for facial waxing but it even smells nice too.
  • Do you wax any other body parts?
No, not at the moment. I am currently only offering the facial trio.
  • Can anyone get waxing?
No. If you are using benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid or AHAs, taking Accutane or antibiotics or any medication that lists "sun sensitivity" , using retinoids or have had a Chemical Peel or Laser treatment in the past 2 weeks there are precautions you must take before you can have facial waxing done. If any of the above applies to you and you would like to know more please contact me and i can let you know more in detail about when you may be able to have facial waxing. I can recommend that you can go get facial threading done. I dont offer this currently.
  • What is the aftercare for waxing?
No aftercare necessarily. Redness may occur. If you are worried however, dont hesitate to contact me.
  • How long does brow lamination last?
It can last up to 6-8 weeks. Please follow aftercare instructions!
  • I've had a brow lamination done, when can I have it done again?
As the treatment can last up to 6-8 weeks, it is recommended not to do it too close in between. At least a month in between (minimum of 4-5 weeks)
  • What is Ombre Brows?
Ombre brows have a soft gradient colour in the front of the brows that slowly blend into a more defined arch and tail.
  • What are Powder Brows?
Powder brows is a semi-permanent brow technique that creates a soft, powdered look that subtly fills in the brows (almost like filling your brows with makeup product).
  • What are Combination Brows?
Combination Brows include 2 forms of semi-permanent tattoo techniques: NANO BROWS & POWDER BROWS. Natural hair strokes are created at the front of the brow and the it is softly blended into powder shading down to the arch and tail of the brow to create a defined look.
  • What is lymph fluid?
Lymph fluid is the clear fluid you can see during and after you do permanent makeup. Lymph fluid is rich in white blood cells, your bodies natural defence to infection. Lymph fluid is completely normal and you will notice it more on sensitive skin. Lymph fluid contributes to scab formation and can effect the healed work. Your client's will need to blot this away (post treatment first day) to help with the retention of the hair strokes.

YOU CANNOT APPLY YOUR OWN. We have medical grade numbing cream, as well as a secondary once we start!
  • Does it hurt?
Like any tattoo you can expect a wee pinch, however we use medical numbing cream to help your process.
  • Are they permanent?
YES! Cosmetic tattoos are permanent, being on your face your brows are more likely to fade faster than most tattoos due to sun exposure. You're responsible for your aftercare, we provide a aftercare kit and instructions at your appointment, complimentary!
  • When do we need touch-ups?
After your first initial appointment you will book your 6-week touchup before leaving your initial appointment. 12 -18 months depending on your sun-exposure is the recommended time for touch ups.
